For increased strength and durability these barbel fishing rods feature double leg minima style guides. These guides also allow your fishing line to flow freely making it easier to cast whether it be thick mono fishing line or braided line, great when needing to cast towards the far bank of large powerful rivers. Advanta have incorporated a screw-lock reel seat on these barbel fishing rods with 3k carbon barrel so that you can use a wide range of fishing reels from small fixed spool reels to large freespool reels.

Available in two sizes, the 12ft 2.25/2.75lb size of these Advanta barbel fishing rods is the ideal rod for barbel fishing on medium and large rivers. However, it is also well suited to stillwater specimen fishing  for tench and bream at medium to long range with method feeders/maggot feeders. The 12ft 1.75lb/Quiver size of these barbel fishing rods is ideal for fishing for both barbel and chub on small/medium rivers. However, it is also well suited to fishing on stillwaters for a wide range of species either using the avon 1.75lb section of the quiver tip top. This barbel fishing rod is supplied with a 1.75lb Avon top section and a quiver tip top section which comes with tree quivertips; 1oz, 2oz and 3oz. Both of these barbel fishing rods are supplied in their own cloth rod bag which makes transport and storage of these fishing rods quick and easy. Finished with a full cork handle to give the barbel angler the optimum grip when casting and playing fish, whilst giving the barbel fishing rod a stylish look.
